I built a block wall in front of the remaining rock and will cast a cement slab over the top. Some areas will be suitable table top height and the rest will be high storage space.
Pictured on the left is the main work table framed up and ready for casting, a wedging table is on the right.
It works best to have two people pouring cement. One mixing and one casting. My friend Kenyon helped with some of the cement work.
In all, six slabs had to be cast at six different heights to cover the boulders and beef up the foundation. I am really happy with the solution. An eye soar has been transformed into functional space.
